Puppy Love
Belle and Snowy's pups are 3 weeks old now. As some of you know, wenamed them Luke, Leia, Han and Chewie, mostly because we liked the novelty of naming them after Star Wars characters. During the first few weeks, we said that Luke was the whiny one while Chewie was the fattest, most hairy one.
The pups started moving around this past Tuesday, with the exception of one, which started moving around last weekend. This one pup, Luke, seems to be the most gregarious of the bunch, as you'll see in the video below. The two most playful pups seem to be Luke and Chewie; Han and Leia seem to be more laid back and like to stick together. That could change, though; as I write this Luke is attacking Belle and Leia is taking on Snowy. It will be interesting to watch their personalities develop over the next few weeks.
If you're interested in seeing more of Belle, Snowy and the puppies, we're uploading a separate photoalbum at snowbelle.myphotoalbum.com. There is a link at the right side of the screen that will take you there.

Grunts and Giggles
Well, grandparents, great-grandparents, and everyone else who might be reading this, Micah will be 5 months old in just a week and a half. Lately, he's replaced some of his squealing with a grunt, as can be seen in the video below. I guess it sounds more manly; maybe we've been watching too many reruns of Home Improvement on Nick at Nite.
Other things that Micah is doing:
1. Removing his pacifier with his hand, and trying to put it back a few minutes later. Sometimes he's successful, sometimes not. We haven't been able to capture this on video, sadly.
2. Rolling on to his tummy, which sometimes makes him really unhappy. He can roll back, but sometimes he forgets how and gets frustrated in the process.
3. He "talks" and smiles to EVERYONE. It looks like he takes more after his mom than his introverted dad.
4. He's started grabbing at food, cell phones, and remote controls.
Anyway, all three of us are very happy, and we are enjoying the full house of six dogs. Wow! :D
